Local API Key Manager

Local key vault with masked display, JSON import & export

Keys are stored only in this browser's localStorage and are lost when browser data is cleared; do not use on public computers.

About this API key manager

Keep a local ledger of your API keys: each entry holds a name, the key itself and an optional note, with full add / edit / delete / view support. Keys are masked by default in the list (first 4 and last 4 characters kept, the rest replaced by *) — the eye button toggles plaintext temporarily for verification, and per-entry copy is one click away. Data is stored in the current browser's localStorage (key to-apikeys) and can be backed up via JSON export or restored on another device via import.

Import accepts any JSON array of matching shape (each item with name / key / note fields); IDs are filled in automatically and entries are merged into the existing list. Keep in mind that localStorage is bound to this browser profile: switching browsers or devices, or clearing site data, will neither sync nor preserve the list — export a backup regularly, and avoid using this tool on public or shared computers so no keys are left behind.
