About this RSA tool
Hit Generate keypair to get an RSA-OAEP 2048-bit pair: the public key as SPKI PEM and the private key as PKCS#8 PEM, each with one-click copy — or paste existing PEM keys directly. Encryption uses the public key with OAEP/SHA-256 padding and decryption the private key, interoperable with RSA-OAEP keys created by OpenSSL.
The private key is masked by default with a toggle to reveal it, guarding against shoulder surfing; keys are generated by the browser's native WebCrypto and never touch a server. Note that RSA suits short messages and wrapping symmetric keys — a single encryption takes at most about 190 bytes of plaintext, so use AES for larger data.
