About this WebSocket tester
Enter a ws:// or wss:// address and hit connect — your browser shakes hands with the target WebSocket service directly (the default is the public echo service wss://echo.websocket.events). Sent text and server replies are written to the log live, and connect, close and error events are recorded too. Every entry carries a direction marker (↑ sent / ↓ received / ● system) and a timestamp, which makes handshake failures and message ordering easy to trace.
Testing connects straight from your browser to the target — nothing goes through this site's server, so local or intranet dev endpoints work too. A badge shows the live connection state: connecting, open, closed, error.
